On April 24, 2008, a warning was published by the Financial Services - Information Sharing and Analysis Center (FSISAC), an industry forum for collaboration on critical security threats facing the financial services sector. Recent spear-phishing emails appear to come from the Better Business Bureau (BBB). These emails direct you to a Web site and instruct you to download a file. The file contains malicious codes that are not currently detected by anti-virus software. This set of attacks warrants vigilance as these attacks are specifically targeted toward users of online cash management tools.

Email users should be wary of unsolicited warning messages that purport to come from any government agencies asking for personal information.

Please do not share your information with anyone who you are not comfortable with and/or have not properly identified.
